Topic: High school v college v pro esports In college there are scholarships for gaming. In traditional sports there are lots of pipelines to fulfill these demands and to create ROI. April’s University has scouts to recruit gamers for their 13 titles and he goes to the local high schools to recruit. Do certain games prevent inclusion due to social or cultural norms? Does the game characteristics and characters incentivize or prevent inclusion? What about the demographics of game engineers, leaders and designers? Rhythm games and repetition games require hundreds or thousands of replays and appeal to many neurodiverse populations. Are there physical attributes that will give people an advantage in certain games?

Topics and hashes for this episode:
Inside your own mind to conquer yourself, find yourself, and compete globally with the best.
Meditate: whole job is to get your mind in the future, but today
Always someone who has it worse but has more hope, always someone who has had it worse and is happy now.
Sometimes you have to fake it to make it.
You should be your own biggest fan.
Have a goal that you can measure the smallest wins to celebrate.
Celebrate each win.
Visualize yourself being and acting what you want as your brain builds the necessary componentry to do it.
100% expect that house is coming from somewhere.
When you chase something it runs, when you sit and expect it to come, it comes to you out of curiosity.
Giving back and serving others is a necessary step to joy and happiness. Find a way to make it a foundation of your life, be ready and willing to sacrifice a major event for a friend or family member who needs you.
Relax and let what you want come to you.

Mental visualization is the most powerful tool available bar none.
Bilal: if this is such a powerful thing, why isn’t this taught, why isn’t this a widely known thing?
Jannell: There has become a stigma about taking a break to do mental well-being and practicing your trait mentally. It’s every career field everywhere. In this episode we talk a lot about how to properly enter the gaming market and “read the room well.” Companies are entering the industry to simply make money and the audience senses this and do not receive them well. The ROI of entering the esports industry is staggering, 1:10; 1:25; 1:30.
Dr. Drew is a chiropractor at the Cleveland clinic in Cleveland. He is an expert in musculoskeletal disease, ergonomics, hydration, nutrition, a huge gamer, and all around amazing human.
He loves gaming, he was already in the musculoskeletal area of being a DO. He started to blog and realized that he didn’t know as much as he thought.
Played N64 as a kid, gaming is #1 in his life.
Authenticity is important, companies that enter the community without it get crushed. Nutrition items, ergonomic devices (task based chairs). Companies enter in and try to jump on the bandwagon with a game not realizing that the game doesn’t have longevity.
